2:30 p.m. Jesus Mendoza Mr. Natural

Mr. Natural first opened its doors on October 7th, 1988 in East Austin.

Jesus will be sharing his family’s story and recipes of vegan Vegan ceviche, nopalitos en salsa, and alfalfa agua fresca with you at 230pm in the Fiesta Garden Building.

A family-owned business who firmly believes that good nutrition starts at the dinning table. Everything is made in house, from our grandmother’s refried beans to the bread on our sandwiches.

We welcome you to come and enjoy more than just fruits and veggies, we encourage you to embrace a nutritious and tasty lifestyle the way our family has taught us.

The concept of Mr. Natural started when Jesus & Maria decided it was time to settle down and raise a family in Austin, TX. Before starting a family they had traveled all over Mexico teaching communities how to nurture themselves through a holistic practice. With the help of others they organized retreats where they focused on the health of the body, mind & spirit. Both taught Vegan & Vegetarian cooking classes, Hatha Yoga, Kung-Fu, Meditation, alternative remedies & therapies. Now they have passed on their knowledge to their children and continue to educate the community through health fairs, radio shows, and TV.

11:30 a.m. Author Hannah Kaminsky

Photographer, stylist, recipe developer, author, and general food obsessive, Hannah’s love of desserts compelled her to start experimenting in the kitchen at a young age. The goal was to create incredible, cruelty-free treats that were picture perfect. Her blog, BitterSweetBlog.com, features creative crafts, delicious treats, and mouth-watering photography. Hannah will be making her popular cauliflower risotto and pan-seared brussels sprouts. Be sure to grab a seat as Hannah opens the day with this gluten-free and kosher recipe, just in time for Passover!
