- Assist presenters with their prep, set-up, presentation, clean-up and break-down
- Direct attendees in and out of presenter room
- Keep room clean, organized, and on schedule
- Answer presenter and attendee questions
- Ready presentation and sound equipment
- Keep are quiet during presentations
Assist Participants after they check-in to their booths
Assist Participants with set-up, logistics, and break-down
- Assist Youth Area Participants with load-in and set-up of youth area activities
- Keep activity schedule on time and advertise activities to attendees
- Stuff bags before the event
- Distribute bags during the event using our ticket system
- Online and Street Team promotions
- Help with social media and print ads creation and distribution
- Contact potential participants with event details
- Sign participants up and collect payment
- Set-up on site in the days before the event
- Break down the hours after the event as well as the day after
- Organize, label, inventory, and order supplies before the event
- Store event supplies, maintain inventory, and keep admin office organized during the event
- Greet all attendees as they enter the festival
- Keep count of all attendees that enter
- Provide details about the event, our swag bags, and where public donations go
- Share information about veganism, Austin, and Texas VegFest!
- Keep booth and print outs of all our resources organized and accessible
- Help attendees complete demographic survey to be entered into our raffle
- Display raffle items and answer question about the items
- Sell event shirts and merchandise
- Take stock and inventory of supplies and sales made
- Keep utility gate guarded to make sure no trucks or attendees enter unless authorized
- Watch over main parking lots to make sure vendors have room to unload safely and that the lots don’t overfill
- Coordinate with volunteers before the event to prepare them for their shift
- Check volunteers in and out of their shifts during the event
- Provide on-site assistance to all areas during event as needed
- Task range from going to the store, transporting equipment or supplies from one end of the venue to the other, and helping set up or break down various items
- Take videos of event set-up process and during the event to use for media promotions
