Help us have a successful reschedule event and return in April 2027!
Over the summer, we are launching a fundraising campaign.
Our fundraising goal is an ambitious $25,000. Reaching our goal will ensure we recover non-refundable expenses lost in April, and provide enough financial support for a successful rescheduled event in September. Meeting our goal will also ensure Texas VegFest can return in 2027 as a FREE event.
Our April 2026 expenses that were paid and are non-refundable totaled over $22,000. These are expenses that we will have to pay again for our September event. Our team will bring the same caliber of event in September that everyone has grown to know and love about Texas VegFest. However, if we do not meet our $25,000 fundraising goal, we cannot return in 2027 for our April event. Expense Breakdown
Texas VegFest average expenses total around $30,000 annually. Venue fees, city fees, and permits add up to around $10,000. Tents with water barrels, tables, and chairs can total another $10,000. Composting, recycling, hand-wash stations, and portable toilets can add an additional $3,000 to the budget. This isn’t even including the fun stuff like cooking demos, live music, and activities! Texas VegFest is a FREE public education event. Our mission is to educate while we celebrate the health, environmental, and animal benefits of vegan plant-based diets. We accomplish our mission by providing educational lectures, cooking demonstrations, youth activities, community outreach, educational literature, samples, and live music – all FREE to the public! We collect fees from participants to help cover our event expenses. We also rely on donation made by supporters like YOU to help cover additional event expenses and to keep Texas VegFest free to the public.

Created by the Texas Veg Foundation (a 501(c)(3) organization established July 2011), Texas VegFest reaches over 5,000 attendees annually. To keep the event free to the public we charge booth fees and collect donations.
